Amit Shah shown black flags by teachers at Haryana rally

The protesters heckled Shah with anti-government slogans as he took to the stage.

Jind: BJP chief Amit Shah had to face the wrath of protesters for the second time in four days as JBT teachers showed him black flags at a rally here.

About 10 Junior Basic Training (JBT) teachers, including three women, who were seated in the front rows during 'Gaurav Rally' organised by Union minister and prominent Jat leader Birender Singh, showed black flags to Shah before they were evicted by BJP workers and security personnel.

The protesters heckled Shah with anti-government slogans as he took to the stage.

Amid the ruckus, security personnel intervened. Some of them were joined by BJP workers as they lifted a woman protester, gagging her and carrying her away from the venue.

The JBT teachers have been on strike for nearly three months in the state demanding regularisation of their jobs.

They said the BJP government in the state, led by Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, had talks with them and "issued letters to make their job permanent but the appointment orders have not been issued".

On September 8 at an event in Surat, Shah along with Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani and other party leaders were booed off stage by protesters who chanted slogans in favour of Patel quota stir leader Hardik Patel.
