PK, Naidu Spitting Poison on N Andhra: Minister Appalaraju

Visakhapatnam: Fisheries minister Seedari Appalaraju has said both Pawan Kalyan and TD chef N. Chandrababu Naidu visited north Andhra to spit poison, unable to digest the fact that Visakhapatnam is being made the capital of AP.

Addressing a press conference in Srikakulam on Friday, Appalaraju said Pawan Kalyan has been doing business through politics while serving the interests of Chandrababu Naidu for whom the 2024 elections “would be his last.”
He said both the leaders arrived at the same time, carrying the same agenda -- to mislead the people.

“People of north Andhra are slowly getting tuned to making Visakhapatnam the capital and these two leaders are disturbing their minds by levelling false allegations,’’ Appalaraju said.

Taking further on the Jana Sena leader, the minister said Pawan Kalyan has been in politics for the last 14 years but was unable to spell out what he would do if he won power. “The people understood his agenda that he wanted to bring down the YSRC government to please Chandrababu Naidu.”

Reacting to Pawan Kalyan’s observation that the state has more Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy statues than those of Potti Sriramulu, the minister said. “No Potti Sriramulu statue was removed under the YSRC government; and Rajasekhar Reddy’s statues were installed by his fans and followers, not the government.”

The minister also blamed Pawan Kalyan for raising issues which were not connected to Visakhapatnam. He said ganja trade began during the TD term and flourished, which was admitted by TD ministers. On the other hand, YSRC began a crackdown on smugglers and destroyed ganja crop in thousands of acres, he said.
