YSR Congress opens HQ in Amaravati
Vijayawada: Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy on Saturday inaugurated the YSR Congress party’s Central Office at Tadepalli in Guntur district.
Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy inspected several wings in the central office and a large number of party senior leaders including ministers, MPs, MLAs, MLCs and others were present.
Earlier, the Chief Minister unfurled the party flag and paid rich tributes to late chief minister Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy by garlanding his portrait set up at the party office. Later, YSR Congress senior leader and Sattenapalle MLA Ambati Rambabu explained the circumstances leading to the formation of YSR Congress on March 12, 2011 in the aftermath of tragic death of Rajasekhar Reddy.
He lauded YSRC founder-president and Mr Jagan for setting up the party and leading it under very difficult circumstances. Mr Rambabu alleged that though former chief minister N. Chandrababu Naidu made all efforts to wipe out the party, it has withstood all hurdles to evolve and form the government with thumping majority in the recent polls.
He asserted that their party leadership accept the people in the state as their family members. Mr Rambabu sharply criticised TD leaders for trying to tarnish the image of the YSRC with disinformation campaign on several issues. He also slammed Mr Naidu, accusing him of trying to make the people feel insecure by tweeting on several issues against Mr Jagan. Reacting on a recent comment from Mr Naidu that the people in the state rejected TD which is like a cow with peaceful attitude and accepted YSRC which is like a bison that has an aggressive attitude.
