RTC planning to provide end-to-end connectivity

The services will also be increased to connect nearby villages with LB Nagar.

Hyderabad: TSRTC is planning to provide its services for the end-to-end connectivity of Metro passengers. The corporation has been conducting surveys to integrate their bus services with the upcoming Metro services from LB Nagar to Ameerpet from the beginning of September.

According to an RTC official, the number of services will be reduced from LB Nagar to Miya-pur, and increase the services to interior colonies on both sides of the Metro route. The services will also be increased to connect nearby villages with LB Nagar.

According to A. Sridhar, deputy traffic manager, RTC, the survey will identify places along the Metro path that need connectivity. The feeder buses will be increased to cater the Metro passengers. The effect of Metro on the parallel operations of the RTC buses will have to be analysed, he added.

Mr Sridhar said there are around 50 feeder buses between Nagole and Miya-pur for Metro passengers, adding that the RTC will add more feeder buses with more frequency.

Currently, RTC runs around 805 buses between Ameerpet and LB Nagar, and at least 44 buses that touch both the places. At present, eight buses connect Hayath Nagar and Patancheruvu, making 48 trips, and eight buses make 40 trips between LB Nagar and Lingampally.
