Activists challenge Telangana, Osmania University stand

Hyderabad: Student organisations and education activists have questioned Osmania University and the government as to why politicians needed permission to enter the university campus for interaction with students. The OU decision in the name of security issues was not correct and the request of the student organisations should be allowed democratically, said activists.

Mr N. Narayana, education activist, said, “University students should have awareness of politics and they need such interactions. During the Telangana movement many politicians visited OU frequently. Rahul Gandhi visited University of Hyderabad two years ago.”
