Hyderabad: The administrative department of Osmania University (OU) has directed student leaders and stakeholders not to conduct any rallies, dharnas, strikes or protests during a visit of the NAAC team to evaluate the university. The university has warned of strict action being taken against anyone found violating these directions.
The university appealed to all student organisations and asked them not to put up posters, flags, banners or any other publicity materials on campus.
OU registrar Gopal Reddy said, “We have appealed to the students to remove all publicity materials from the campus in view of the NAAC visit. A clean ambience is an important consideration for NAAC accreditation.”
However, Unemployed JAC chairman Koturi Manvatha Roy said, “This is totally against our right to agitate.”
