Woman attempts suicide at railway station, saved by passengers
An RPF official said the woman, a divorcee, wanted to end her life as she was upset with her family.
Mumbai: A 30-year-old woman allegedly attempted suicide by jumping in front of a train at Vikhroli railway station, but was saved by alert passengers.
Nazia Sayeed got down to the tracks alongside platform one and started walking towards the approaching train on Wednesday, a senior RPF official said on Thursday.
A few passengers raised an alarm, following which two youths jumped onto the tracks and rescued the woman with help of RPF and GRP officials, he said.
The entire incident was captured by the CCTV camera installed at the station.
