Hyderabad: The Hyderabad HC on Wednesday granted time till Friday to the Telangana government counsel to get instructions regarding a habeas corpus petition filed by Neella Srilatha seeking a direction to the police to produce her husband in court.
A division bench comprising Justice P.V. Sanjay Kumar and Justice M. Seetharama Murti was dealing with the petition of Neella Srilatha, the wife of Sridhar, who was a close associate of Nayeemuddin. The petitioner alleged that the police had detained her husband illegally on the night of August 8 from their house in Hayathnagar mandal in Ranga Reddy district and he was being tortured. When the bench sought a response from the TS counsel, he requested time. The HC then posted the matter to Friday.
