Hyderabad: Parents check flat, kid falls to death
Hyderabad: A two-and-a-half-year-old boy who fell off the balcony of an under-construction apartment in KPHB succumbed to his injuries at a hospital in Banjara Hills on Tuesday.
According to KPHB police inspector K. Laxmi Narayana, the incident took place at about 4.15 pm on Tuesday, when Saini Srinivasa Rao along with his wife and son Saini Shyamak Rishi had gone to supervise the ongoing construction work in their new apartment on the second floor of Vishwamber Enclave in Hydernagar at the Kukatpally Housing Board. The family resides in Old Bowenpally,
Rishi was playing near the balcony while his parents were inspecting the flat, and fell to the ground while his parents were busy.
He was rushed to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries at 9.30 pm, he said.
Based on the complaint filed by Rishi’s parents, a case has been registered under Section 174 of CrPC. His body was handed over to his parents on Wednesday after its autopsy at the Gandhi Hospital mortuary. Further investigation is underway.
