Hyderabad: The Hyderabad HC on Tuesday directed the chief executive officer of the Secunderabad Cantonment Board to spell out the their stand on a petition seeking to declare the action of the Board in deleting the names of 28,123 electors from eight wards of the Secunderabad Cantonment Board as illegal and unconstitutional.
Justice A. Rajasheker Reddy was dealing with a petition by U. Murali, a resident of Cantonment, stating that the respondent had deleted the names from the voters list on the grounds that the said persons were said to be encroachers of defence land.
