CCC to be data centre for Telangana

Chief Secretary Dr. S.K. Joshi on Tuesday reviewed the setting up a multi-agency operation centre and sought suggestions.

Hyderabad: The state government will make the Command Control Centre (CCC), which is expected to be operational in October this year, a state-level data centre benefiting all departments.

Chief Secretary Dr. S.K. Joshi on Tuesday reviewed the setting up a multi-agency operation centre and sought suggestions.

“We have received suggestions on accessing the Command Control Centre in day-to-day operations and emergency situations from all departments. We are yet to integrate the data available with several departments and would need to source data from districts also. For this, we should develop an exclusive software and database.” said Mr Joshi.

The CCC will be integrated with the headquarters of all districts. Departments such as municipal, electricity, irrigation, panchayati raj, transport and GAD, can utilise the CCC.

“Using CC cameras spread over the city, several activities can be taken. For instance, we can easily identify pot holes, traffic congestion and number plates, garbage transport. We can map government properties, carry out geo tagging in addition to sourcing data and info pertaining to weather conditions, water levels , crop situation and power supply at low cost,” said Dr. Joshi.
