Bengaluru to witness rains today
Bengaluru: The heavy downpour on Tuesday left several parts of the city inundated. The worst affected areas were Chickpet, K.R. Market, J.C. Road, Double Road, Majestic, Kamakshipalya, Nayandahalli and surrounding areas. There were also reports of tree fall and damage to power lines and poles.
The city traffic too was thrown out of gear and commuters had to spend hours being stuck in traffic as there was bumper-to-bumper traffic in almost in all parts of the city.
Weathermen at Karnataka Natural Disaster Monitoring Centre said the city will be cloudy for the next two days owing to low pressure created over Bay of Bengal.
However, they said the city will not receive only light to moderate rains till July 12, though coastal regions in the state will get heavy rains.
IMD prediction for July 11 said the surface winds is very likely to be strong and gusty and maximum and minimum temperatures is likely to be around 27 and 20 degree Celsius respectively.
