Kasargod: It is joy time at Souparnika, the home of Sanjay and Sourav, when the engineering entrance results were announced on Monday with the twins winning top ranks.
While Sanjay scored 4th rank, Sourav romped home with 8th position.
It was a result of hard-work for the family as the twins shifted to St Antony’s Public School, Kanjirappalli from Kasargod for plus two. They also joined for entrance coaching at Kanjirappalli.
Quality education to their children was a dream for the parents Sujatha, a constable at Rajapuram police station here and Sukumaran, a businessman.
Both Sourav and Sanjay were expecting ranks below 10th. Sourav told DC that after calculating the scores, they were sure that both will be among the first 10 ranks. “We hope we will clear IIT JEE entrance tests the results of which would be out by June 14,” he said. “We are planning to join IIT Chennai.”
Ms Sujatha said as parents, they never expected such high ranks for the children. “We are very much thrilled,” she said. The twins have an elder sister Sneha.
