JEE Advanced 2018: Most expected good score, and kept spirits high
Hyderabad / Vijayawada: K.V.R. Hemant Kumar Chodipilli from Visakha-patnam, who secured All India Rank (AIR) 7, topped the Telugu states in the JEE Advanced. He topped the IIT-Kharagpur region.
Mavuri Siva Krishna Manohar comes from the small village of Rajendrapalem in Kovvuru mandalam of Visakhapatnam district. His father M Nageswara Rao is a tailor, and his mother Padmavathi is a homemaker. Manohar wants to study Computer Science at IIT Mumbai. “I expected that I would get a good score but this rank comes as a pleasant surprise,” he said, admitting that he was anxious in the beginning. He completed his primary schooling in his native Rajendrapalem and went to Navodaya School at Kommadi in Visakhapatnam district. He did his Intermediate from FIIT-JEE in Vijayawada.
Bhogi Suraj Krishna, who topped the JEE Mains, secured an all India rank of 49 in the advanced exam. “We were expecting a better rank based on his rank in the JEE Mains. Hopefully, Suraj’s marks are good enough to get a seat in the CSE of IIT-Mumbai,” said his father, Bhogi Hari Krishna.
