Hyderabad: A woman died on the Ghatkesar Railway Station platform due to a seizure leaving her two-year-old boy behind. On Saturday morning on platform number 1 of Ghatkesar railway station the mother suffered a seizure and died on the spot.
“She was with her son who is unable to give us any details about their whereabouts,” said Ramesh, a sub inspector of the railway police who was on duty.“We were called by locals and we enquired around the area for information regarding the woman’s identity in vain,” added the sub inspector.
The dead body was later shifted to Gandhi Hospital mortuary for post-mortem examination and the boy was sent to a children’s home in the city. “We are waiting to see whether someone will come to claim the body or looking for the boy,” said railway police sub inspector Ramesh. Railway police booked a case under Section 174 (suspicious death) of CrPC and launched an investigation.
