Bengaluru: BJP city president and former leader of opposition at BBMP N.R. Ramesh has alleged that Robert Vadra, son-in-law of Congress party president Sonia Gandhi, has encroached upon government property worth over Rs 850 crore at Begur village, Bangalore South.
Addressing media persons after releasing documents to support his stand, Ramesh alleged that "Real estate developer DLF, in which Vadra is a shareholder, is building a huge township under the name DLF Westend Heights, off Bannerghatta Road."
For this purpose, 60.04 acre land has been purchased by M/s Annabel Builders and Developers Ltd (DLF) of which 19.37 acre land has been purchased by 'mutation of property' during 2013-14 after Siddaramaiah government came to power in the state, Ramesh alleged.

Ravichandra by Congress ruled state government by arm twisting officials and also bribing them. He alleged that they have issued katha amalgamation certificate to the project illegally by floating all rules.
He further alleged that Siddegowda, who is currently the chief engineer of Stormwater Drain, had misused his powers and allegedly expanded a road next to the township measuring 30 feet to 80 feet when he was the chief engineer of BBMP Major Roads department.
"Siddegowda has also helped in encroaching stormwater drain between Begur Lake and Hulimavu lake," he alleged.
