Hyderabad: Stuck in an elevator with his two-and-a-half-year-old son for close to an hour, a businessman living in a gated community has lodged a complaint with the police, seeking action on the management and security personnel for alleged negligence that posed danger to their lives.

According to the police, the incident took place at Lanco Hills in Manikonda on May 7. Srinivasa Reddy, a businessman, said in his complaint on Sunday that he and his son entered the elevator on the fourth floor of a block. It stopped suddenly. The complainant said he pressed all the emergency buttons in the elevator and tried to contact the department concerned but in vain. After 50 minutes of struggle, he managed to open the elevator door and came out, the police said.

“After getting out of the elevator, Reddy reached out to the management and security of Lanco Hills and informed them but they allegedly responded in a negligent manner,” a police officer said.
