Hyderabad: A five-year-old boy who went to relieve himself along with his brothers fell into a rainwater drain and drowned in Gandipet village. The body of Jogulu Anand was found about 200 metres from the spot where he drowned.
Anand had gone with his brother Krishna and cousin Chandan to relieve themselves at a distance from their huts near Yousuf Colony in Gandipet village at Narsingi when the incident occurred.
Police said Anand tried to peep into the rainwater drain, slipped and fell inside and was washed away. His brother and cousin rushed back home and informed his parents. They and their neighburs ran to the spot but could not find him.
