Petrol bunk owners refuse to buy fuel: No fuel on May 14 in Bengaluru
Bengaluru: Fuel station owners in the city refused to accept fuel loads on Wednesday to press for their demands, including revision of commission. Only KSRTC and SWR outlets received fuel.
According to the officials, none of the dealers in the city sent their tankers to the Devagundi for filling. "KSRTC received around 40 tankers of diesel and South Western Railway also received 40," said an officer.
"For the last few months there has been constant disruption in the fuel supply. As supply will resume on Thursday morning, city may not face shortage of fuel," he added.
B.R. Ravindranath, president, Bengaluru Petroleum Dealers Association said all the fuel stations will remain closed on Sunday. From Monday onwards they will work only during day time, till their demands are met.
