Vikram Nath is the new Andhra Pradesh High Court Chief Justice

Since 1987, Justice Nath, who obtained his law degree in 1986, had been practicing at the Allahabad High Court.

Vijayawada: The Supreme Court Collegiums on Wednesday appointed Justice Vikram Nath of Allahabad High Court as the Cief Justice of the Andhra Pradesh High Court on Wednesday.

The Collegium, which was headed by Supreme Court chief justice Ranjan Gogoi, justice SA Bobde and justice NV Ramana, found Justice Nath to be the most suitable for the position.

Since 1987, Justice Nath, who obtained his law degree in 1986, had been practicing at the Allahabad High Court. In 2004, he was appointed as an additional judge and was made permanent judge in 2006.

With this appointment, he becomes the first Chief Justice of the Andhra Pradesh High Court,

However, following the bifurcation of the AP High Court, which was shifted in January this year, Justice Ch. Praveen Kumar was acting as the Chief Justice of the Andhra Pradesh High Court on a temporary basis.
