High demand for Blockchain jobs in India
Hyderabad: Even though India is cautious about crypto currency such as Bitcoin, there is high demand for jobs in the underlying technology Blockchain, especially in Bengaluru and Hyderabad. According to a job site Indeed, these jobs are concentrated only in Metro cities. Bengaluru is the leading city for those seeking job opportunities, followed by Mumbai, Hyderabad, Pune and Chennai, making up the top five destinations for Blockchain careers in India. “Technology hubs such as Bengaluru continue to lead while the National Capital region is also seeing a fair share of interest in the sector.
“With the global market for Blockchain-related products and services expected to reach $7.7 billion in 2022, it is sure that there will be even more jobs created in the sector in future,” said Sashi Kumar, managing director, Indeed India. Indeed earlier reported a significant increase in not only the number of online searches related to crypto currency but also in the number of Blockchain related job postings on the portal. Union minister Arun Jaitley had said during his Budget speech that India will be exploring Blockchain technology.
Followed by this, NITI Aayog’s pilot project in Blockchain, IndiaChain, will also help in generating job opportunities in the sector, the report noted. It also states that India can look forward to positive growth and development in the sector. The volume of such jobs is higher in South India than in New Delhi and its surrounding regions such as Gurugram, Noida and Mohali.
