Bengaluru: Painter falls to death in JP Nagar

The incident took place on Saturday while Raju was painting an apartment by name Thunder Woods.

Bengaluru: A 37-year-old painter died on the spot after he accidentally fell from the third floor of a three-storied building in J P Nagar police limits on Saturday. The deceased, identified as Raju, was staying in Banshankari and hailed from Mandya.

The incident took place in the evening while Raju, along a few others, was painting an apartment by name Thunder Woods. As he was busy painting the walls near the balcony, he accidentally slipped and crashed on the ground. He sustained serious head injuries and died instantly, police said.

When the co-workers heard a loud sound they rushed to the spot and took Raju to a nearby hospital, where he was declared dead on arrival.

The police was infirmed and they reached the spot. They found the negligence on the part of the contractor and supervisor. J.P. Nagar police have registered a case of death due to negligence under section 304 A of IPC and begun investigation.
