SSLC, HSE exam results to be delayed

Around 12,000 teachers will check the answer sheets of 4.57 lakh students who appeared in the SSLC exams this year in 54 valuation camps.

Thiruvananthapuram: Results of the SSLC and higher secondary examinations may be delayed by one week, given the April 23 Lok Sabha elections.

The SSLC and higher secondary exams are scheduled to end on March 27. Last year, the SSLC results were out on May 3 and higher secondary on May 28.

Curriculum committee member N. Sreekumar said that the first phase of the valuation camps is scheduled to be held from April 5 to 13 and the second phase from April 22 to 27.

“Authorities had made it clear that the second phase camp schedule is tentative and may change because of the elections," he told DC.

“It may be postponed by one or two days as teachers would have to attend the election classes and duties."

Around 12,000 teachers will check the answer sheets of 4.57 lakh students who appeared in the SSLC exams this year in 54 valuation camps.

Around 25,000 higher secondary teachers would value papers of some nine lakh candidates from Plus-One and Plus-Two classes put together.
