Hyderabad: SHE Teams of Rachakonda police foiled two child marriages on Saturday and rescued two girls aged 16 and 15. The Rachakonda police rescued four girls from child marriages this week. On Saturday morning, the SHE Teams received an SOS call from Sarvel village in Narayanpuram mandal in Yadadri district saying that a 16-year-old minor girl from their village was getting married to a 27- year-old man from a neighboring village in the district. SHE Teams rushed to the village and counselled the girl’s parents.
They also counselled the man and his parents and explained to them the ill-effects of child marriage and its legal implications. In the second incident, the SHE Teams rescued a 15-year-old girl from Mulkalapally village under Turkapally Mandal from getting married to a 25-year-old man from Mondikunta thanda of Bommalaramaram. SHE Teams went to the village and counselled both the families. Two minors were rescued from child marriages in Yadadri district on Thursday and Friday.
