French firm Safran to set up unit in Telangana
HYDERABAD: Safran Electrical and Power, a global leader in aeronautical power and electrical systems will be setting up an aerospace unit in Telangana at a cost of Rs 52 crores. The project is expected to create more than 250 employment opportunities. The company will be setup in the Special Economic Zone near Shamshabad Airport and will manufacture, electrical equipments used in planes. A MoU was signed to this effect in New Delhi on Saturday.
Mr Philippe Petitcolin, CEO, SAFRAN and IT secretary Mr Jayesh Ranjan, signed the MoU in New Delhi on Saturday in the presence of Mr M. Le Drian, French foreign affairs minister, Union Minister Suresh Prabhu and Mr KT Rama Rao. The company will be setup in the Special Economic Zone near Shamshabad Airport and will manufacture, electrical equipments used in planes.
