Warangal: Three-day event honours Indian cinema bigs
WARANGAL: A three day cultural fest 'Springspree' is set to take off at NIT, Warangal organised by the students and faculty. The event will be held from March 11 to 13,
The theme this year is Silver Screen and SpringSpree is one of the oldest cultural fests of the country. It includes a range of events and shows on all three days by renowned artistes like DJ Angel, DJ Sarah, Geeta Madhuri and BLAKC team.
Springspree student coordinator C. Jishin said springspree is one of the largest cultural festivals conducted by students of NIT Warangal. It is the 30th edition since its inception in 1978. This year it is celebrating 100 years of Indian cinema.
The promo of SS'16 was launched by theme Ambassador Sekhar Kammula, noted tollywood director. SS'16 has various talented artists performing from all around the world.
Fashion show, Group dance competition, performances by DJ Angel, singer Geetha Madhuri, Nikhil D'souza, BLAKC Band, and an EDM night by German DJ Arthi would be held.
There are more than 30 gaming events and also technical workshops. Initiatives like Onestage, Extract, 5K Marathon ,De-emission and The Heritage are also being conducted to help the society.
Sardar Abhinay, Bhaskar Rao(Film -producer and Director), S.Manikandan (Zonal manager of SBH Warangal region) and Team Kalyana Vaibhogame consisting of Hero Naga Shourya, Director B.V.Nandini Reddy, Producer Damodhar Reddy and Actress Malavika Nair took part in the program.
