BS Yeddyurappa admits to meeting JD(S) MLA's son

However Yeddyurappa claimed the MLA's son Sharanagouda was deliberately sent to him.

Bengaluru: BJP state president B.S. Yeddyurappa's admission on Sunday that he had actually met the son of a JD(S) MLA, just days after he denied the contents of an audio tape released by the CM, has come in handy for the ruling coalition to slam the former CM.

The Congress and JD(S) demanded his resignation from the post of leader of the Opposition in the Assembly with Chief Minister H. D. Kumaraswamy caustically 'congratulating' Mr Yeddyurappa for admitting that it was his voice in the 'Operation Kamala' audio.

However Yeddyurappa claimed the MLA's son Sharanagouda was deliberately sent to him.

Contrary to his earlier statement rejecting the audio tape allegedly containing his voice which was released by the Chief Minister, State BJP president B.S. Yeddyurappa has admitted that he met the son of the JD(S) legislator and had spoken to him.

Addressing press persons here on Sunday, he claimed that CM H.D. Kumaraswamy has used a part of his conversation for his convenience by hiding the truth behind it. Stating that it is a conspiracy hatched against him by intentionally sending the MLA's son to him, the BJP leader said that he will expose the CM on Monday by releasing proof of the scandals against him.

Terming the move adopted by Kumaraswamy as 'third grade politics', he said that earlier CMs had never pursued politics like this. Condemning the allegation that BJP had offered Rs 50 crores to Speaker Ramesh Kumar, Yeddyurappa said that he will quit politics if these charges are proved. He also said the charges levelled against the Speaker are not acceptable as he is an honest and simple person.

"It is true that Gurumitkal MLA's son Sharanagouda had approached me. I had also spoken to him. But, he was deliberately sent to me and it is a conspiracy hatched by the CM against me. I will give a befitting reply by exposing him on Monday as I have enough evidence to prove that there is ‘suitcase culture’ in the JD(S) as claimed by its party youth leader Prajwal Revanna", Mr Yeddyurappa said.

Meanwhile the Dharwad superintendent of police received an anonymous postcard from miscreants threatening to ‘finish’ PM Narendra Modi.
