Kozhikode: In total five young women had darshan at Sabarimala so far in the last season, said Kanakadurga and Bindu Ammini, the duo visited the hill shrine, in a press conference, here, on Sunday. The duo also claimed that they had evidence including visuals for the same.
Ms Durga said that many other young women like her were prevented and forced back on the way to Sabarimala. "Our success was not our own. The success of the day was not only our success but that of a network of like minded people who strived hard for such a successful end", she said.
"Even among police officials there were people who tried to persuade us to back out from the venture and also warned us against visiting the hill shrine, saying that there would be riots and arson if we do so."
It was on January 2, she along with Ms Ammini managed to enter the hill shrine.
