Intech DMLS to launch indigenous small jet engine

The engine MJE 20 is indigenously designed & manufactured with a thrust of 20 Kgf.

Bengaluru: Engines are the heart and soul of any modern aircraft. With a view on indigenously producing jet engines, expanding into the turboshaft/fan business and catering to the 'Make in India' initative, Intech DMLS is launching small jet engines under the brand name Poeir Jets Private Limited.

Poeir Jets, which is an R&D subsidiary of INTECH DMLS, has unveiled its first series of Jet Engines for Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) & Remote Controlled (R/C) Aircraft which is going to be debuted at Aero India '17. The engine MJE 20 is indigenously designed & manufactured with a thrust of 20 Kgf. It is currently undergoing testing at the company's Bangalore facility. Another Jet engine SJE-350 with a thrust of 350kgf, designed for strategic applications is currently being manufactured. The company also plans to expand into the Turbo Shaft/Fan category in the near future.
