Kozhikode: Now here is an App to give guidance to patients and their relatives on procedures before opting for a surgery. The ‘Aster MIMS Surgery Guide’ is a first of its kind App to provide patients information in detail on surgery proceedings, it was claimed.
Launching the App, Chief of Medical Services Dr Karthikeya Sharma said at a press conference on Tuesday that the surgery guide would cover as many as 150 minor and major surgeries. “Often times we come across patients who have hospital anxiety and fear of surgery. With this App we think those people will be able to conquer their fears through better understanding of procedures”, he added.
Available in both Malayalam and English, this App is easy to use. Aster Mims CEO Dr Rahul Menon and executive director U. Basher also were present at the launch.
