Hyderabad: The Bar and the Bench of the Hyderabad High Court on Wednesday extended a warm farewell to Justice R Subhash Reddy, following his elevation as Chief Justice of the Gujarat High Court. Acting Chief Justice Dilip B. Bhosale and all judges and members of the legal fraternity assembled in the first court hall in the afternoon to bid the judge farewell.
Addressing the legal fraternity, Justice Bhosale recalled the services rendered by Justice Subhash Reddy as a judge and said he was dedicated to doing his duty and to uphold the dignity of the judiciary. Justice Subhash Reddy said he was happy with the elevation “but at the same time it is very painful for me to leave this court.”
The judge had been associated with the court from October 1980.
Later, the Advocates Association felicitated Justice Subhash Reddy in the association hall. Justice Subhash Reddy is likely to assume charge as Chief Justice of the Gujarat High Court on February 13.
