IBM employee Ravi Kiran dies in mishap at Shamshabad

Hyderabad: A 35-year-old IBM employee died and his cousin was injured when their car rammed into a truck and overturned in Shamshabad on Tuesday night. The IBM staffer, Ravi Kiran, died on the spot while his cousin is undergoing treatment, said RGIA police.

Police said P, Ravi Kiran, 34, was working as a software engineer with IBM and was saying at Almasguda. His cousin A. Gangadhar, 34, also an IBM employee, stays at the Alakapuri Colony in LB Nagar.

On Tuesday evening the two were going to Gachibowli. Gangadhar was driving and Ravi sat beside him on the front seat. “When the car reached Bongulu Gate on ORR, a truck moving ahead suddenly took a right turn without any indication light and Gangadhar rammed into the truck,” said SI Hariprasad Reddy. Ravi suffered serious injuries. He was rushed to a hospital where he died at midnight. Gangadhar is out of danger. An accidental death case was registered. And the body was handed over to the family after postmortem.
