K Chandrasekhar Rao woos voters of Narayankhed

KCR accused the Congress and TD of neglecting the region for the past 60 years.

Hyderabad: Promising to turn the backward Narayankhed Assembly constituency into a “Hyderabad-like city” if the people vote for the TRS, Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao on Wednesday accused the Congress and TD of neglecting the region for the past 60 years.

“We feel ashamed to have such a backward region where the people save every drop of water and recycle it. Poverty defines Narayankhed. We have to put an end to it,” Mr Rao told a huge gathering at his public meeting in Narayankhed in support of TRS candidate M. Bhupal Reddy in the byelections.

The CM said surveys indicated a massive win for the TRS. “The same gangs (Opposition) were on the prowl in Warangal and lost their deposits. They moved to Hyderabad during GHMC polls and bagged one or two seats. They are again on the prowl here,” he said, amidst cheers.

Speaking in both Telugu and Urdu, he urged advocates, teachers, lecturers, intellectuals, youths and others to vote for TRS “to put an end to goondagiri, dadagiri, illicit liquor flow, etc.” culture of taking vows etc in Narayankhed” and elect the TRS candidate. Bhupal Reddy.
