Hyderabad: The parents of 22-year-old Ananya Goel, student of University of Hyderabad who was killed in an accident on Monday morning, reached Hyderabad on Monday night from Uttar Pradesh. They met with the university authorities and students at the Osmania hospital.
The body was flown back to Shamli district in UP for cremation after a post-mortem was performed in the city on Wednesday. The other two passengers in the car, Nikitha and Jithin, have been discharged from the hospital.
Shamshabad sub-inspector M. D. Ahmed Pasha said, “The two survivors met the girl’s parents in the hospital and apologised to them for the unfortunate incident. Nithika was weeping inconsolably. She and Anaya were close friends and roommates in Delhi. She has been admitted to a private hospital for treatment.”
The police said they were awaiting the post-mortem report as also blood sample reports of the three accident victims.
