Telangana: Lazy' teachers report late, fired
HYDERABAD: Five new teachers were deputed to teach students in Government School in Vallabharaopally village in Midjil mandal a day after the collector gave marching orders to five teachers including school principal. On Monday, DC had reported that students of the school were failing to even write their own names in Telugu.
According to the mandal education officer N. Padma, the teachers were deputed from primary, upper primary and high schools in the same mandal depending upon availability. “There were five teachers in a primary school in the mandal. One teacher was asked to shift to Vallabharaopally school so that classes were not affected in both places. Likewise, other teachers were deputed from upper primary and high schools,” she said.
Meanwhile, the suspended teachers turned up late to the school on Tuesday showing no signs of remorse. While the classes commence after prayer ends at 9.15 am, these teachers arrived one by one till 9.45 am. Parents criticised the suspended teachers for not learning from their mistakes.
They left the place after suspension orders were given to them. Meanwhile, Education Minister Kadiyam Srihari said that action was taken against teachers in view of their negligence at work. He felt that teachers being paid good salaries should take up the job with more responsibility.
