Tamil Nadu forester's son held for smuggling

Bengaluru: CID Forest Cell nabbed a Tamil Nadu forest official’s son for illegally sellingparakeets online and rescued eight Alexandrine chicks during a raid at HSR Layout.
The accused is Raghul Raj, the son of P. Natarajan, a deputy range forest officer posted in Dharmapuri. He worked as a field engineer in Bengaluru.
CID forest cell inspector Purushotham said, “With his father's help Raghul smuggled parakeet chicks to Bengaluru from Tamil Nadu. He scouted for buyers on social media.”
Our men posed as buyers and nabbed the accused at HSR Layout. He was selling a pair of birds for Rs 4,500. He has already sold 12 chicks, he added.
