Vijayawada: To avoid Open Defecation, the VMC has displayed the boards of warning for the open defecation fining them for Rs 500/-. It is not the first time, the VMC has doing it, previously also they have implemented and collected the fine from the people. As per the instructions of the Commissioner J.Nivas, the municipal officials have arranged to display the boards stating that Rs 500/- fine will be collected from the open defecators. The VMC has trying to make the city as Open Defecation Free city.
The Commissioner has inspecting the areas every day and make aware of the public to bring that status. The warning boards have displayed in the Kaleswararao Market, Mutyalampadu, Satyanayaranapuram, Kotta Vantena Centre, Machavaram, Gandhinagar, Benz Circle, Indiragandi Municipal Stadium, Krishnaveni ghat circles one, two and three and 80 other places.
