Ayodhya verdict: Parties call for peace, harmony

Telangana Jana Samiti president M. Kodandaram said the population must uphold the verdict given by the apex court and refrain from dissent.

Hyderabad: Opposition parties have asked people to respect the Supreme Court verdict on Ayodhya and stay calm.

“Everyone should honour the Supreme Court verdict. Although it may not satisfy everyone, the court should be respected,” CPI leader Suravaram Sudhakar Reddy underlined.

Telangana Jana Samiti president M. Kodandaram said the population must uphold the verdict given by the apex court and refrain from dissent.

BJP MP Bandi Sanjay said the Supreme Court’s decision had been pending for years. “This will make the country united. It is not a win-win scenario for any of the parties,” he remarked. Sanjay said a majority of parties welcomed the ruling but some parties, such as the MIM, were trying to provoke people.

TS Telugu Desam president L. Ramana said people should respect the top court’s judgment and maintain communal harmony and promote unity.

Congress Legislature Party leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka welcomed the judgment and said all parties had the responsibility to abide by their constitutional obligations. He appealed to people of all communities to maintain peace and harmony.

Curiously, no TRS leader was ready to speak on the Supreme Court’s verdict on Saturday.
