Sreedharan Pillai has approached the High Court on Friday seeking to quash the case filed against him by the police on charges of disrupting peace in the society by indulging in provocative speech. The court has sought the response from the state government and posted the case for further hearing on Tuesday.
The counsel for the government informed the court that till Tuesday action including arrest will not take place in connection with the case.
Mr. Pillai in his petition denied committing any crime as alleged by the police and submitted that case is legally untenable.
