Hyderabad: A septuagenarian woman was found dead under suspicious condition at her residence in Pochampally late Thursday night. According to the police, unknown persons murdered the elderly woman in her house by strangling her to death, following which they applied vermillion on her face and body.
Pochampally police identified the victim as A.Mallamma adding that she had been living alone in the house while her children lived in Hyderabad. “When enquired with her neighbours, they claimed to have seen her last on Thursday evening around 7 pm,” an officer said.
The police is also not ruling out black magic angle in the case, the officer added. A case has been registered and a probe is on.
