Deputy CM said that TS prisons' dept has taken correctional services and is assisting prisoners in skill development in various sectors.

Hyderabad: Deputy Chief Minister Mr Mahmood Ali on Thursday said that the Telangana state prisons has became a role-model to other state prisons. Launching the national conference on ‘Best Practices in Prisons – Looking forward’, the deputy CM said that TS prisons’ department has taken correctional services and is assisting prisoners in skill development in various sectors. “The prisoner-run industries help them in getting jobs and works after they are released from jails,” he said.
Later, the deputy CM along with the director general of prisons Mr Vinoy Kumar Singh released the ‘One Year-Plan’ of the prisons department. All the director generals and heads of prisons’ departments from 14 states took part in the conference.
