Rajaiah takes charge as Rythu Bandhu Samiti chief

Warangal: Station Ghanpur BRS legislator Thatikonda Rajaiah on Monday took charge as the president of the Rythu Bandhu Samiti (RBS). He will be in the post for two years.

Rajaiah thanked Chief Minister K.Chandrashekhr Rao for reposing faith in him while he was greeted by farmers and his close associates for the elevation.

It is to be noted that Rajaiah was the only sitting MLA. who was denied a party icket from among the 12 Assembly segments in erstwhile Warangal district. The Station Ghanpur ticket has been allotted to MLC Kadiyam Srihari. Both were in a show of strength. Although the party working president K.T.Rama Rao tried to settle the issue, Rajaiah did not calm down. To put an end to this row, Chandrashekar Rao recently announced the corporation chairman post to Rajaiah.

But before taking charge as the president of RBS, Rajaiah said that many party leaders were feeling insecure. The leaders are afraid to participate in meetings and the activists are not putting up flexies nor playing drums and kolatams.
