Kodela Sivaramakrishna’s son gets bail in theft case

The furniture from the Assembly was found in the bike’s showroom.

VIJAYAWADA: Telugu Desam leader Kodela Sivaramakrishna got bail from the Mangalagiri court in the alleged Assembly furniture misuse case.

Sivaramakrishna is the son of former Assembly Speaker Kodela Siva Prasada Rao, who committed suicide recently.

The furniture from the Assembly was found in the bike’s showroom that belongs to Sivaramakrishna at Guntur and the Assembly officials had seized the furniture after conducting checks. A case was registered in the Thullur police station at Amaravati about the misuse of Assembly furniture. Sivaramakrishna surrendered in the Mangalagiri court on Wednesday and got conditional bail in the furniture case. When Assembly officials conducted checks in the bike showroom belonging to Sivaramakrishna at Guntur, they found that the Assembly furniture was being used in the showroom illegally and therefore lodged a complaint against Sivaramakrishna.

Advocate Abdul Razak filed a bail petition on behalf of Sivaramakrishna in the Mangalagiri court. The court gave conditional bail to Sivaramakrishna ordering him to attend in Thullur police station on every Friday and sign in the station records.

AP Assembly officials who found Assembly furniture missing, discovered that the furniture was illegally shifted during the shifting of furniture from the old Assembly at Hyderabad to the new Assembly at Amaravati. Thullur police in Amaravati had registered a case against Kodela Sivaprasada Rao on the complaint of AP Assembly section officer on August 24 under IPC section 409 and section 411 for illegal shifting of Assembly furniture.
