Rachakonda police commissioner wins award

The commissioner had started worksite schools for the migrant children of Odisha who were rescued from the brick-kilns.

Rachakonda police commissioner Mahesh Bhagwat has received an award from the International Association of Chiefs of Police (ICAP), US, for his contribution in the field of human and civil rights. The commissioner was announced as the winner of for his contribution in the rescue and rehabilitation of the child labour at brick kilns in the Rachakonda limits.

The commissioner had started worksite schools for the migrant children of Odisha who were rescued from the brick-kilns. About 889 children have been admitted to the schools and are taught Oriya language at the worksite schools.
