Rajahmundry: West Godavari superintendent of police M. Ravi Prakash warned those who manufacture, stock and sell fireworks without obtaining the requisite licence or permit and fail to comply with safety norms in the district.
The SP while accepting complaints from the affected people here on Monday said that nobody should keep huge stocks of fireworks. He felt the need to ensure safety keeping stocks of fireworks and instructed police officers to keep close vigil on illegal manufacture and possession of stocks.
Mr Prakash also had addressed several civil complaints from the public. A woman from Chinthalagaruvu of Poduru mandal complained to SP that her daughter was sent to Dubai for work by fake agents and she was being subjected to harassment there and sought action against the culprits. The SP directed police personnel to take necessary action.
