Andhra Pradesh: Sainik school staff praised for success
Visakhapatnam: A meeting of the local board of administration (LBA) of Sainik School Korukonda was held at the Headquarters, Eastern Naval Command, in Vizag city on Saturday. Vice-Admiral H.C.S. Bisht, Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief, ENC, chaired the meeting attended by officers of ENC and AP government besides representatives of Vizianagaram district administration.
General K.R. Rao, alumnus of the school and member of the Old Boys Association, also attended the meeting.
The chairman and members of the LBA took stock of the state of affairs of the school and reviewed the progress of the ongoing work on infrastructure and development projects.
Sainik School Korukonda principal Colonel Rudrax Atri apprised the board about the range of measures and initiatives taken by the school for multi-dimensional development of students.
The chairman appreciated the achievements of the school in academics, including its entry into the National Defence Academy, sports and extra-curricular activities.
He applauded the staff and officers of the school for the coveted achievement of securing first position in the All India Senior School Certificate Examination for Class XII by CBSE for 2016-17 amongst the 26 Sainik Schools in the country.
