Return, give boost to Bihar: BJP leader to IT students
BENGALURU: The Tech and Young Turks Forum, a session specially targeted at students and professionals related to the IT sector hailing from North India, specifically Bihar, was organised by the BJP at its party office in Malleshwaram on Sunday.
Bihar BJP president Mangal Pandey, senior party leader from the state C.T. Ravi and city BJP wing secretary Indrajit Kumar interacted with the IT students and professionals.
Mr Pandey heard problems that the professionals and students face in the IT industry. While most of the participants agreed that they hardly ever faced any communal negativity in the city, they expressed concern over the ground reality in Bihar. The session discussed topics such as neglect of government-owned primary schools and lack of infrastructure that is not allowing the IT industry to reach its potential in Bihar. Mr Pandey said that one of the major problems was the brain drain. Those who go out of the state to study usually stayed back, he said. “Of the 100 that go out to study not even 10% return to Bihar. I understand that Bihar is still in its initial stages in terms of IT development, but we have to go back home and improve the situation. People are the driving force in any industry and we need to push Bihar too,” he said.
“When the whole world has reached Z, we’re still at A. Now, development is synonymous with the IT industry. We need to believe in the IT sector just the way Mr. Modi does,” he said.
Closing the session, Mr Ravi said, “Biharis are like a brothers and sisters to us. We are like a family who share and help each other in times of happiness and sorrow.”
