Kozhikode: Truth unveiled, a peek into ‘Bhagavad Gita’
KOZHIKODE: The exhibition of Arun Raman, 39, a self-taught artist, is now open in Lalithakala Academy Art Gallery with 78 works of depictions from Bhagavad Gita.
The show titled 'Truth Unveiled', inaugurated by Dr M.K. Muneer MLA on September 5, will end on Tuesday.
The paintings are more of philosophical insights and introspection. It will require a little mental labour to carve out an idea like, 'you are what you think' from his painting, the organisers say.
Moreover, paintings on substance abuse, delusions and freedom for art are a visual treat.
"I believe that one should not ignore one's innate temperaments. For example, a soldier who has more artistic inclination will not be able to contribute to his job fully. Everyone should follow their passion and heart," Mr Raman says.
His undying love for art could not confine him to a diploma in engineering. The full-time artist had conducted exhibitions in Chennai, Pune, Haryana, Kochi, Palakkad and is planning Bangalore as his next stop.
