HMDA to adopt Gujarat, Maharashtra in pooling

The official said, based on its outcome, the HMDA will pool 1,000 acres of land in Korremula, Gowrelli and Nacharam.

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority has decided to adopt Maharashtra and Gujarat models to expedite the pooling of under Land Pooling Scheme (LPS). Citing delay in pooling of land through conventional methods, the HMDA has decided to send a team of officials to study LPS in Maharashtra and Gujarat and adopt the same in the Greater Hyderabad region.

In more than a year, the Hyderabad Metropolitan Authority has pooled 158 acres of land at Pratap Singaram out of 440 acres proposed. The official said, based on its outcome, the HMDA will pool 1,000 acres of land in Korremula, Gowrelli and Nacharam.
