Hyderabad: A seven-year old Class II student, Adithya, of Nehru School was beaten up by the principal on Friday. The boy’s father Pramod, a resident of Karwan, alleged that his son was cruelly beaten up at school and badly injured on Saturday.
“The principal, Suresh Singh, a resident of Zafarguda, hit the boy on his back inflicting several bruises when he made a petty mistake in class. The boy told his parents and they approached us,” said inspector Chandrashekar of Tappachabutra. Based on a complaint by the boy’s parents, the cops registered cases under Section 341 (wrongful restraint), 323 (inflicting injuries) and the Juvenile Justice Act. No arrests have been made yet.
